Project Life

There is a scrapbooking style called Project Life, which is a rather nifty way of documenting every day life. I think it was invented by Cathy Zielske, but if not, her blog is where I discovered the style.

Since I don't have a printer, it's not a style that would work for me on the weekly basis that its designed for. However, May Flaum mentioned on her blog that she was going to use it to document a recent holiday to Hawaii. I had an 'Aha' moment - what a brilliant idea that would work on MY holiday photo's'.

And since I have three years of Devon holiday photo's to scrap, I desparately need a plan to catch up!

Today I got started on our 2011 Devon holiday and made great progress - four layouts and 2 days of the holiday are now documented, AND I only used scraps, which I am always trying to find ways to use up.

Because my photo's are digital, they get printed as 5.25inches x 4 rather than the standard 6x4, so I added a 'tag' to each photo which allowed me to add some journalling.

And I rarely journal ON my photo's, but it suits this style of scrapbooking, so I added one word descriptions to some of the photo's.

So there you go, four layouts made in one day - only 6 more days to scrap.
