Sketch N Scrap #30

Had a lovely lazy day at home today with children happily occupied doing their own thing. So I thought I'd tackle the latest sketch from Sketch n Scrap.

I also got to play with my latest dies from Sizzix - Stately Circles. I got out some scraps and just played with the dies. Care is needed in extracting the circles from the dies, but I do love the end result and can see them making appearances on many projects.

Anyway, sketch 30 allows for four photo's so I grabbed some from our trip to Alice Holt Forest last summer.

 
 
I used Tim Holtz's Idea-ology Kraft Resist paper as my base and misted it with Ancient Copper (not that the photo shows it very well). I also used Echo Park Paradise Beach and inked the edges brown. Then some scraps which I punched and added lace to for borders. The title is in one of the stately circles and the other embellishments are another size in the range. Some buttons with ribbon were the final touch.
 
 
 
 
I love these photo's - the single shots of my children, and then the two group ones with their friends.
