Sketches in Thyme #104

I haven't been particularly productive on the creative front recently, but here is one layout I did manage to complete this week. I used sketch #104 from Sketches in Thyme as my starting point. I loved that it involved so many photo's as I have many events to be scrapped that involve multiple photo's. For this sketch, I decided to scrap my son on his sixth birthday as he opened some of his presents since I had recently scrapped his monster birthday party.

The papers are all really bright and bold in colour and pattern, and all birthday themed. These are not the kind of pattern papers I would normally buy, but they came as part of a sale bundle. And unfortunately, I have no idea of the manufacturer as they haven't got their details on the papers.

And because the papers are so busy, I haven't added any embellishments at all as I think that would be too much. My photo's are larger than the sketch, but I didn't want to lose any more detail. I used odd alpha letters that I'd cut for previous projects and not used. Those that weren't black I edged in black pen to help them stand out.

Here's the sketch that I followed. I would like to try this sketch again with smaller photo's and less busy paper.
