Freshly Made Sketches # 76

I haven't participated in many card challenges recently - wish it was because I have been churning out the scrapbook layouts, but its not. My efforts to do something creative everyday (even if its only 10 minutes) fell by the wayside as energy levels waned.

So....

I decided to try and create something based on this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

I had some papers and stickers from a goody bag I got ages ago that I have always struggled to use - gold and black sound elegant but are actually difficult colours to work with (at least, they are for me).

Anyway, here's what I created

I put some gold paper through an embossing folder, matted some patterned gold paper on black and stamped the sentiment. On reflection, I would have been better with a black sticker sentiment, it would have been bolder. Life is all about learning so I'll chalk this up as another lesson.

Do need to investigate options into buying / making a light box though. Weather in the UK is often grey with dim light - not the best light for craft photo's.

Thanks for looking.
